I just got back from holidays to find a few comments in moderation which were real. I don’t know if any others out there run blogs but I get all kinds of spam posts, probably in a ratio of about 50 spam comments to each real one. It was good to see some real comments, thanks guys.
While on vacation the whole family took in the new movie and we are all excited about the new book, as I’m sure many of you are too. We’ll be at the local Barnes and Noble come Friday night and will have a great time with our many potter fan neighbors. Last time our B&N had actors portraying Hagrid, Snape, Dumbledore, McGonnegal. I hope you all have lots of fun with it like we will.

Chompin’ at the bit! Haha, no kidding! In anticipation of Deathly Hallows, I thought you might find this interesting: a survey on Harry Potter readers found that only 1/3 of them think Harry will survive the Deathly Hallows! A quarter of readers said they would seek the spoilers that have cropped up everywhere, which is kind of a shame that avid fans would ruin the ending for themselves. But I guess people don’t think it’s really the ending: Almost half said they think Rowling will write MORE Potter books. We can only hope!

No spoilers for me, I’ll be holding my fingers in my ears all the way home from the bookstore. Since I’ve already said I think Ron’s book one vision (Head Boy, Captain of the Quidditch team, holding house and quidditch cups) is prophetic, I suppose I should consider that harry’s is too – which would mean he dies. but I’m just such an optimist, I think he’ll come out triumphant and end up with Sybil Trelawney’s prediction for Umbridge coming true – he’ll live to a ripe old age, become Minister of magic and have lots of kids. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
At 9am tomorrow i can get my numbered bracelet from Barnes and Noble so i can be near the front of the line when they finally start selling the books at midnight. I’m having trouble thinking about work.
hehehe
Oh happy day – the last day of waiting, to end in a lovely evening at baseball and then at the bookstore.
I have a friend who makes lenticular luggage tags and promotionals. I was thinking about Lenticulars for all the flashing badges – i.e. Support Cedric Diggory, Potter Stinks and for the one’s I saw at the book release – the Trust Snape/Snape Lies shirts.
