More Thoughts on Horcruxes

I read this crazy little post on myspace which I commented about in For the Record – random predictions about book 7, and that got me to thinking about the locket. If it is at Grimmauld Place, then Harry will have Slytherin’s locket, and if he inherits from Dumbledore, as everyone suggests, he will have Marvelo’s ring, and will have had or destroyed all the items Voldemort had as his heritage, Harry will have “inherited” Slytherin’s treasures.
Is part of what Voldemort accidentally gave to Harry the “magic” of being the heir of Slytherin? There is something in the balance of having 3 Voldemort items (diary, ring, locket) with destroyed Horcruxes on one side and horcruxes of the other 3 founder’s items on the other.

Hi Joe -
In the spirit of your web site, here are my 10 predictions for the last book. They come from thinking about Rowling’s comments on C.S. Lewis published elsewhere. Cheers,
Don
10 PREDICTIONS FOR BOOK 7
1. Harry will return to Godric’s Hollow for a climactic action scene.
2. Harry lives but suffers both an act of magical violence and a personal failure of courage.
3. The Dursely’s will be humanized somehow and Harry will reconcile with them.
4. In the end, Harry returns to the muggle world more or less permanently, sans magical ability.
5. Harry will keep Hedwig.
6. Ginny Weasly will die in an act of self-sacrifice, perhaps protecting Neville and be the hero figure.
7. Hagrid dies.
8. Professor McGonagal is revealed to have a dark side but nevertheless continues as Head of Hogwarts.
9. “RAB” is Sirius Black’s brother.
10. Luna and Harry bond and have ongoing relationship. Ron and Herminone don’t become a pair, remain “friends.”
I am thinking that R.G.B. in book 6 could be Regulus Black. Rowling does mention that he was a death eater , got scared and was killed by Voldemort.
Also, in Book 5 , when Harry and other are cleaning the house , they found a locket (Page 108) , they found a heavy locket that none of them could open at Grimmald Place No.12. Maybe thats why Harry has inherited this house so that Harry could find the locket at Sirius’ house and destroy it.
The wand maker in Book 1, Mr. Ollivander will reappear in Book 7 to help out Harry Potter.
