Will Hary Die?
In a new poll of 1,373 U.S. adults nearly half or 47 percent did not think our hero would die in the last book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." This new poll reflects the same outcome as one recently conducted on HPANA with over 100,000 votes.

We Shall See Soon
The faculty of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Powell's Books request your presence for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book in J. K. Rowling's series.

Festivities will be held at Powell's City of Books, Powell's on Hawthorne, and Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing in Beaverton, and will commence at 10pm.

Books will be available at precisely one minute past midnight. And if you happen to be passing through Portland's airport, our main concourse location at Powell's Books at PDX will be open at midnight, with fun giveaways for the first 100 Harry Potter customers!

But I Think Harry Wont Die!
There are some rumors that JKR is preparing the 8 book.

OK, now it is ONE MONTH TO GO and I'm really getting jazzed.

I read this post by Twitch on myspace, I love it:

SNAPE IS INNOCENT, HARRY DOESNT DIE, VOLDEMORT KILLS SNAPE, THEY FIND HORCRUX IN GRIMMAULD PLACE.

Isn't that great?

OK, so I didn't dare to think one of the Horcruxes would be at Grimmauld Place even thought that has been one of the most obvious and discussed notions, shame on me. I think that is highly likely, more than 50%

Someone pointed this essay out to me which really focuses on the chess game played in the series of tasks at the end of book 7. It sees the chess game as the game plan for the whole 7 book series and is quite an interesting read. I don't think it doesn't fit with what is here.

7 Moves = 7 Years. I wonder what that author would make of my more rudimentary view of the 7 tasks.

Eflow Nivek from myspace greatly elaborated on how the 7 tasks at the end of book one may be underpinning/structure for the 7 books in the series, which, in theory I like. Here is what he has to say:

Anyone miss the fact there were seven tasks?

Fluffy (Hagrid)
Plant (Plant teacher)
Keys (Flitwick)
Chess (Mcgonagall)
Troll (Quirrel)
Riddle (Snape)
Mirror (Dumbledore)

I have tried to decode this riddle.

1) Fluffy has three heads united as one. The start of the series Harry, Ron and Hermione become inseparable. (Hagrid is a big part of the book)

2) Harry, Ron, and Hermione are strangled by a plant Hermione escapes and with Harry, allows them to move on. Almost defines book two Hermione is eventually casted from the team bu not before she realizes Harry's Parsel tongue ability and leads Harry and Ron on. (Mandrakes, raised by the plant teacher heal all that were petrified)

3) Keys in the air only one opens the door. Personally I believe this is referencing to the key that unlocks truth it takes them awhile but finally they corner it and move on. (Flitwick is the one who reveals the fidelius charm)

4) Chess it's a game of strategy, parts in place long before your opponent sees them. This references the plan Voldemort had in place that was foiled in the end. Ron Weasly also sacrifices himself much like his friendship with Harry is sacrificed. (a new side of McGonagall is seen she was shocked yet steady and wanted to protect Harry)

5) a smelly Troll: Umbridge anyone? not to mention a grade of "Troll" is revealed. Also a Troll is stupid, much like the ministry at this time. (Quirrel is mentioned by Umbridge as having the only plan that could be approved by the ministry)

6) A Riddle. Riddles galore! Who is RAB, who is the Half Blood prince? what is a Horcrux? Though piecing it together and watching logic all these can be found before the end of the book. (Snape a Key player in this book)

7)At the mirror Harry faces Voldemort!Quirrel Harry wins by knowing he wanted only to find the stone something similar may happen Harry will figure pout something Voldmeort hasn't. (we know that Dumbledore is going to be a key part in this book.)

how do you like them apples?

Now, here I am back on another re-reading of the series to be able to write the long long post on tarot when I encounter Cornelius Fudge as unlikely prophet. This role usually falls to Sibyll Trelawney or Vernon Dursley but here in the Marauder's Map chapter we find, in the overerheard-in-Hogsmeade conversation between Rosmert, McGonnagall, Hagrid, and Flitwick, the conversation where Harry learns that Sirius Black was his parent's secret keeper (or so the ones involved think) - Fudge, thinking he is referring to Sirius but forecasting the as-yet-unknown Barty Jr. (or could it really be Wormtail?) "I must say, You-Know-Who alone and friendless is one thing...but give him back his most devoted servant, and I shudder to think how quickly we'll rise again."

Who is that most devoted servant. Ive recently and consistently received ridicule for holding out the possiblity that Snape could be this person. Barty Jr. certainly expresses the opinion that it is he. Bellatrix, that it is she. Draco is making a run at it late in the game but early in life.

What shall we see? What shall we see and learn?
